About Financial Education
Financial Education was founded by a group of long-time Team Fortress 2 players who grew frustrated with the fragmented, scam-prone state of TF2 item trading. The existing tools were either outdated, unreliable, or built for general Steam trading with TF2 treated as an afterthought. We built this platform specifically for the TF2 economy, with every design decision made by people who have spent thousands of hours in the game's market. The platform launched in its first form as a price-tracking tool, and grew into a full trading ecosystem based on direct feedback from early community members. We take a transparency-first approach: our pricing data sources are documented, our fee structure has no hidden layers, and our trade security measures are explained clearly rather than buried in legal text. The TF2 economy has its own logic, its own item tiers, and its own culture, and we respect that rather than trying to force it into a generic marketplace template. Our moderation team is composed of experienced TF2 traders who understand the difference between a legitimate unusual offer and a classic scam pattern. We are committed to keeping the platform free of bots and fake listings, which means manual review processes run alongside automated detection. Every update to the platform is shaped by the community through a public feedback board where feature requests and bug reports are tracked openly. Our goal is to be the platform that the TF2 trading community would have built for itself if it had the resources to do so.
